For ten years, she has led LumeSmart Earth Day with heart, purpose, and persistence — bringing together a diverse, global team of volunteers who have helped shape every milestone along the way. Her ability to mobilize communities, inspire action, and build bridges between people, sectors, and countries is what transformed a grassroots idea into one of Canada’s most inclusive and impactful cleantech platforms. The event opened with a special visit from The Honourable Michael Parsa, Ontario’s Minister of Children, Community and Social Services, who recognized the importance of grassroots-led environmental leadership and the power of inclusive innovation.

Sherry Saeidi, serving as Master of Ceremonies, welcomed attendees and set the tone for a day of purpose, vision, and connection.
